June Sterling

My name is June Sterling. I am an Integrative Counsellor and Supervisor; my professional journey has allowed me to engage with a diverse array of individuals grappling with many challenges and traumas.

Situated in Wolverhampton, renowned for its vibrant multicultural milieu, the counselling agency with which I am affiliated significantly shapes my professional ethos.

My primary role involves collaborating with supervisees rather than clients, thus broadening the spectrum of cases and responsibilities to encompass diverse realms such as palliative care, LGBTQ+ support services, pastoral care, and organisations focusing on specific cultural and religious contexts like Islam and African Christianity. In addition to my role as a Practitioner, my position as a Lecturer often entails prior involvement in aspects of the training of the supervisees I advise, adding another layer of complexity to our professional relationship.

I am also part of the Begat Group based in Wolverhampton.

There are four of us in the group and we have been meeting for four months, once a month for 2–3 hours.

We use integrative therapy and we are open to visits from, visits to, and connections with other ISN groups and dyads.
